Are Geox suitable for wide feet/orthotics?
— Geox are manufactured using “G” fitting last meaning they are on the wide side. Geox styles are often deep making them a good choice for children who have to wear orthotics.
Are Geox trainers good for sport or P.E. lessons?
— Plain styles like Geox Crush in white often appear on school uniform lists. Geox are a good choice for active kids as the designs feature built-in arch support and lots of padding around the ankle.
Are Geox styles really breathable?
— If you look on the bottom of each shoe, you will see that the soles have lots of holes in the rubber. These are positioned where the most sweat glands in the foot are. Inside the sole is a patented membrane made of a micro-porous material which absorbs sweat and lets it out of the shoe through the sole in form of water vapour.
Do Geox shoes stop your feet from sweating?
— No, it is healthy for your feet to sweat but the Geox help keep the inside of your shoes dry and fresh. Geox technology is designed to keep the inside of the shoe cool and dry and creates what they call a perfect micro-climate for your feet.
Can I wash them in a washing machine?
— No, we would never advise for the shoes to be fully submerged in water. If the trainers get particularly muddy, clean them with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
Can you turn the lights off in the trainers?
— We only stock one Geox trainer where lights can be turned off: Geox Magica. All other styles with lights are continuous until the battery runs out.
How long should the lights work for?
— The lights are run with batteries with a limited life expectancy. Ideally they will continue to work untill your child grows out of them but we can not guarantee this.
This will also depend on how heavily the trainers are used.
Why are Geox more expensive than clarks?
— Geox offer a much more sophisticated product, with many unique features like breathable sole and Respira patented technology.
How robust are Geox?
— Geox are long lasting and hard wearing products, we found that some styles like Geox Crush are really tough. Look out for toe and side bumpers around the sides of the shoes.
